Pokémon Amethyst ("PAM") is a Pokémon roleplay community based on the popular Nintendo series. PAM takes place in an updated version of Kanto, complete with contests, battledomes, wild catching areas, new gym leaders, and bonus badge challenges alongside the original set of Kanto gyms.

SO! Here are some guidelines that you should DEFINITELY FOLLOW when posting here on Amethyst!
Example of GOOD roleplaying: "Erika walked down the road to PROF. OAK's lab, excited for what awaited her." Examples of BAD roleplaying: - "Erika wlked dwn the rode 2 professor oaks lab, xited 4 wut aw8ed her." - "Erika: *Walks down the road* I am excited!"
And please don't RP in first person. Lots of people have more than one character, and so that might will get confusing.
Perhaps you have roleplayed another way somewhere else, but the first example is the way we do it here at P.AM. Roleplay is very simple once you've got the hang of it. To be basic, it's kind of like a story written by more than one person at once. Follow the leads of everyone else if you've never RPed before, and you'll get the hang of it!
An RPing duh- NO powerplaying- meaning, don't play someone else's character unless they've said you could, or if they're nowhere to be found and there's a serious plot change, in which case you can mention that you brought them along, but that's it. For example, you cannot make someone else's character go to Viridian City.
Most other questions can be answered by going out and exploring the board itself. Soo, feel free!
